Conor Cooney (Galway)
Injuries have ravaged Conor Cooney for much of the past two years, but while fitness is temporary, class is permanent.
The gifted St Thomas attacker was in splendid form for Galway against Wexford in Sunday's Leinster SHC Final win.
Cooney ended the game with an eight paul haul, including seven from play and Wexford were unable to contain the Galway full forward.
Eamon Dillon (Dublin)
Eamon Dillon was the goalscoring hero as Dublin delivered a strong second half display to defeat Laois at Parnell Park on Saturday evening.
Dillon struck two majors for Dublin after the restart as Ger Cunningham's charges beat Laois.
The pacy Dillon registered 2-4 from play for Dublin, who face All Ireland champions Tipperary next weekend in Round Two of the Qualifiers.
Walter Walsh (Kilkenny)
Walter Walsh produced when it mattered most during tense match with Limerick at Nowlan Park.
Walsh's four points were critical for Kilkenny, who eventually shrugged off Limerick's spirited resistance.
Cillian Buckley and Michael Fennelly were prominent for Brian Cody's team, but Walsh battled throughout, while also landing important blows.
