Davy Fitzgerald has been ratified as the new Waterford senior hurling team manager.

It was confirmed on Thursday evening that Fitzgerald, the former Clare and Wexford boss, will take charge of the Deise again on a two year term.

Sixmilebridge clubman Fitzgerald coached the Cork camogie team in 2022.

Fitzgerald's selectors and backrrom team will be confirmed soon.
