The Galway forward received 3, 035 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Tipperary's Jake Morris (2, 663), and Dublin's Cian O'Sullivan (1, 441).

Evan Niland inspired Galway to a Leinster SHC win over Wexford at Pearse Stadium. Niland struck 0-13 for Henry Shefflin's outfit, including seven points from play.

Jake Morris (Tipperary)

In a goal laden Munster SHC match at Cusack Park, Nenagh Éire Óg's Jake Morris pounced to score 2-4. Morris was a potent threat throughout for Liam Cahill's team.

Cian O'Sullivan (Dublin)
