Cuala produced a strong finish to retain the Dublin SHC at Parnell Park.
Six Cuala points in the closing seven minutes ensured they prevailed following a lively battle with Kilmacud Crokes.
At half-time, Cuala, assisted by a Colm Cronin led by 1-8 to 0-4 following an efficient start.
Kilmacud Crokes improved significantly after the restart with Oisin O'Rorke sharp from frees.
Substitute Dillon Mulligan was impressive for Kilmacud, who edged two points clear in the closing stages.
But Cuala stayed cool reeling off a flurry of late points to set up a Leinster Club Championship clash against Laois' Borris-Kilcotton.
