Dublin earned a place in the knockout stages of the Bord Na Mona Walsh Cup following a hard earned win over Laois at O'Moore Park.

Eamonn Dillon continued his good form with a fourth minute goal, while John Hetherton was also prominent with a seven point haul.

Aaron Dunphy struck a goal for Laois, who still trailed by 1-8 to 1-6 at the break.

Laois moved in front after the restart with PJ Scully sharp from frees and play, but Dublin responded to set up a semi-final meeting against Galway.

Chris Nolan and Martin Kavanagh netted goals for Colm Bonnar's Carlow, who defeated Offaly at Netwatch Cullen Park.
