The turbo-charged midfielder received 3,640 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Tipperary’s Jason Forde (2,834) and Waterford’s Stephen Bennett (2,974).

Cork midfielder, Darragh Fitzgibbon, was a driving force for the Rebels in their convincing win over Offaly. He scored 1-2 from play and hit a huge amount of ball to continue his very impressive early-season form.
Jason Forde (Tipperary)
Jason Forde’s touch of class made the difference as Tipperary edged out Kilkenny by a point in FBD Insurance Semple Stadium. He scored five points from play and five frees, including the injury-time winner.
Stephen Bennett (Waterford)
Stephen Bennett was Waterford’s scorer-in-chief as the Deise put Laois to the sword in very ruthless fashion. He scored a whopping total of 3-8, including 1-2 from play and two emphatically struck penalties.
