Limerick chalked up an impressive Co-op Superstores Munster Hurling League win over Tipperary at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

Adrian Breen and David Dempsey struck goals for Limerick, who proved too strong for Tipperary.

A first quarter Breen goal enabled Limerick lead by 1-10 to 0-9 at the break.

David Reidy drilled four frees, while Darren O'Connell and Breen were prominent for John Kiely's team.

When the action recommenced an opportunistic John McGrath major helped Tipperary to restore parity in the 38th minute.

Limerick, though, responded impressively with Dempsey netting the insurance goal late on.

In Mallow Cork enjoyed a convincing victory over Kerry.

Cork were in command for the majority of the opening period with Kieran Kingston's outfit accumulating a 0-15 to 0-7 interval advantage.

Sean Twomey mined four opening period points from play, while Robbie O'Flynn was also impressive contributing three.

Six minutes after the restart Ryan Walsh mined a goal for Cork, who closed out the deal with the minimum of fuss.
