CLARE 2-20 WATERFORD 3-16

Clare survived a determined Waterford fightback to set up a Munster Hurling League Final against Tipperary.

Tony Kelly and Stephen Bennett traded first half goals, but Clare went in at the break leading by 1-14 to 1-5.

Waterford, though, with Bennett leading the charge responded after the restart, but still trailed by six when Colin Guilfoyle netted a goal for Clare.

In the dying minutes Bennett, who finished with a 2-12 haul, and Tommy Ryan rattled the Clare net, but the Banner held out to book a final spot.

Tipperary are now next on the agenda for Clare, who were promoted by Diarmuid Ryan, Niall Deasy, and Kelly's shooting in front of 3,039 spectators.
