Tyrone produced a powerful second half display to overcome Derry in convincing fashion.

Mickey Harte's outfit led by 0-9 to 0-7 following an evenly contested opening period, but the Red Hands dominated after the restart.

Darren McCurry, Cathal McShane, Niall Sludden, Conan Grugan, and Kyle Coney all contributed points for Tyrone, who introduced promising youngster Darragh Canavan - son of former inter-county star Peter.

In the closing stages Emmett Bradley and substitute Ben McCarron struck points from play for Derry, but Tyrone weren't going to be denied.

Canavan announced his arrival with a late point before McShane sealed the deal.

Kildare were always in control against Offaly at Faithful Fields.

Cian O'Neill's outfit quickly seized control to accumulate a healthy 1-14 to 0-4 interval advantage.

The Lilywhites had moved 10 points clear as half-time approached when Padraig Fogarty scored an opportunistic goal.

Jimmy Hyland landed six points before the break, while Fogarty, Adam Tyrrell, and Ben McCormack were also prominent.

Offaly battled after the restart, but Eoghan O'Flaherty, Tyrrell, and Aaron Masterson rifled over points as Kildare cruised to an emphatic win.

Wexford chalked up an encouraging win over Laois in Enniscorthy.

The teams were level at 0-5 each before Robert Frayne blasted a brilliant goal for the home team, who went in with a three point cushion.

Niall Hughes added a splendid second goal for Wexford, who were crafty enough to earn the full complement of spoils.
