Westmeath GAA has confirmed that Tom Cribbin will step down as manager of the senior inter-county football team.

Cribbin guided Westmeath to Leinster Senior Football Championship Finals in 2015 and 2016.

This spring Westmeath claimed the Allianz Football League Division Four title.

A Leinster SFC Quarter-Final replay win was followed by a defeat to Dublin at the penultimate stage in the province.

Last weekend Westmeath were narrowly beaten in a Round 2B Qualifier by Armagh at TEG Cusack Park.
