Mayo manager Stephen Rochford doesn't expect Lee Keegan to feature in the May 13 Connacht Championship clash against Galway.

Westport clubman Keegan has recently returned to light training following a shoulder operation and rumours in the west suggested that his prospects of featuring in the game were improving.

"I wouldn't say that," Rochford remarked at the Connacht Championship launch on Tuesday. "It's only seven weeks this weekend, which is six weeks post op.

"He's back doing some running, but hasn't been in any contact. I don't see him partaking in the game. "I know locally they're all thinking how did Robbie Henshaw get back. In a professional environment, more can be done. He isn't in our plans. We're planning very much without him."

Rochford is also hopeful Cillian O'Connor will be available, while also confirming Brendan Harrison, Chris Barrett, and Donal Vaughan are back in full training.

"Cillian has progressed well, isn't back into full training just yet," Rochford added. "But we are confident that he will be involved.

"Brendan Harrison is in full training, he has had some game time with club. Chris Barrett, Donal Vaughan are back. So there is nothing fresh at this juncture."
