Dublin survived a late scare in Baltinglass, eventually earning a 1-14 to 3-6 win against Wicklow.

Dan O'Leary's first half goal helped guide Dublin into a healthy 1-6 to 0-4 lead.

After the interval, though, Seán Doyle, James Boland, and Jack Kirwan struck goals for Wicklow, but Dublin earned the spoils.

John Furlong's last gasp goal for Offaly ensured the Faithful County divided the spoils with Louth in Stabannon, 2-4 to 0-10.

Louth, with Seán Reynolds prominent, led by 0-9 to 0-3 with 12 minutes remaining before an Alex Egan goal from a penalty brought Offaly back into contention.

Brian Cooney and Matthew Whittaker bagged goals as Westmeath enjoyed an excellent 2-10 to 0-10 victory over Kildare.

Meath were always in control against Longford, earning a 0-12 to 0-4 win.

Eoghan Frayne and Oisín Keogh were effective throughout for the Royals.

Laois defeated Carlow at Netwatch Cullen Park by 1-12 to 1-10.

Davy Costello pounced for an early goal for Laois, who led 1-7 to 1-4 at half-time.
