Preview: Weekend's Gaelic Football Championship action
The exciting David Clifford in Munster Senior Football Championship action against Clare's Gordon Kelly last year.
Saturday June 1
Munster Senior Football Championship Semi-Finals
Clare v Kerry, Cusack Park, 7pm
Kerry haven't lost a Munster Championship match since 2012 and will be eager to maintain that impressive and efficient record in Ennis.
The Allianz Football League brought plenty of encouragement for Kerry's mixture of emerging and established players.
Interest surrounds Peter Keane's first campaign in charge of Kerry, who have enjoyed such success at minor level in the past few years.
Talented footballers are being crafted, but now the challenge is to re-emerge as a real force on the national stage once more.
Sean O'Shea's splendid spring illustrated his considerable promise, while Tommy Walsh's return was another boost.
Other key performers were available for the closing stages of the competition with the defeat to Mayo in the decider a setback.
Clare, with Gary Brennan and Eoin Cleary prominent, were content to retain Allianz Football League Division Two status before surviving a tricky encounter against Waterford, who came within a whisker of staging a dramatic recovery mission.
Having endured a heavy beating against Kerry last year Colm Collins will have Clare primed for this game.
CLARE: Stephen Ryan; Gordon Kelly, Cillian Brennan, Kevin Hartnett; Sean Collins, Aaron Fitzgerald, Dean Ryan; Gary Brennan, Cathal O'Connor; Kieran Malone, Eoin Cleary, Jamie Malone; Cian O'Dea, Cormac Murray, Gavin Cooney.
KERRY: Shane Ryan; Jason Foley, Tadhg Morley, Tom O'Sullivan; Gavin Crowley, Jack Sherwood, Shane Enright; David Moran, Adrian Spillane; Diarmuid O'Connor, Sean O'Shea, Stephen O'Brien; David Clifford, Paul Geaney, James O'Donoghue.
Cork manager Ronan McCarthy.
Cork v Limerick, Pairc Ui Rinn, 7pm
A first Munster Championship triumph in seven years over Tipperary ensures Limerick head for the banks of the Lee heartened.
Billy Lee's hard working team contributed a fine performance to outfox Tipperary by seven points at Semple Stadium.
There was so much to admire in that gritty Limerick effort with Iain Corbett's driving runs and Jamie Lee's four points carrying real weight.
Cork endured a damaging Allianz Football League Division Two campaign suffering relegation and injury issues are bothering them this summer.
Sean Powter's absence is a blow for Cork, who will be striving to reach a provincial decider.
Kerry cruised to a facile win in the 2018 southern showpiece before Cork were thumped by Tyrone in a Round Four Qualifier.
Improvement is required from Cork so Ronan McCarthy will be eager to ensure Cork are ready for the upcoming challenge against Limerick.
LIMERICK: Donal O'Sullivan; Brian Fanning, Sean O'Dea, Paul Maher; Colm McSweeney, Iain Corbett, Gordon Brown; Darragh Treacy, Tommie Childs; Adrian Enright, Cillian Fahy, Michael Fitzgibbon; Sean McSweeney, Seamus O'Carroll, Jamie Lee.
Mickey Quinn scored a goal for Longford in last Sunday's drawn Leinster SFC Quarter-Final against Kildare at Bord Na Mona O'Connor Park.
Sunday June 2
Leinster Senior Football Championship Quarter-Final replay
Longford v Kildare, Bord Na Mona O'Connor Park, 3pm
It went the distance in Tullamore last Sunday as extra-time couldn't separate Longford and Kildare.
The scores flowed and the drama raged from start to finish, but the end result is that another 70 minutes, at least, is required.
The McGivneys and Mickey Quinn occupied central roles for Padraic Davis' Longford, who still hope to take Kildare's scalp.
It has been a strange spell for Kildare, who have shown flickers of promise, but still crave consistency.
Adam Tyrrell's healthy scoring burst and David Hyland's relevance provided nuggets of hope in the drawn game, but Kildare will want to be more clinical for the rest of the summer.
LONGFORD: Paddy Collum; Patrick Fox, Andrew Farrell, Barry O'Farrell; Colm P Smyth, Padraig McCormack, Darren Quinn; John Keegan, David McGivney; Donal McElligott, Barry McKeon, Mickey Quinn; Daniel Mimnagh, James McGivney, Darragh Doherty.
KILDARE: Mark Donnellan; Mark Dempsey, David Hyland, Mark Hyland; Peter Kelly, Eoin Doyle, Keith Cribbin; Kevin Feely, Fergal Conway; David Slattery, Ben McCormack, Eoghan O'Flaherty; Adam Tyrrell, Paddy Brophy, Neil Flynn.
Armagh forward Jamie Clarke.
Ulster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final
Cavan v Armagh, Clones, 4pm
Buoyed up by satisfying Quarter-Final triumphs this should be a lively tussle between two teams intent on returning to a provincial final.
Mickey Graham's Cavan delivered when it counted against Monaghan with Padraig Faulkner, Gearoid McKiernan, Martin Reilly, and Conor Madden excelling.
Reaching an Ulster final would represent progress for Cavan, who frustrated Monaghan at Kingspan Breffni.
Defeating their neighbours, though, offers hope and momentum, but Cavan will treat Armagh with the utmost respect.
Any attack featuring Jamie Clarke, Rian O'Neill, Stefan Campbell, and the effective Andrew Murnin, who is returning from injury, needs to be minded carefully.
Jarly Og Burns' development is another source of encouragement for Kieran McGeeney's outfit, who will relish operating in this type of an occasion.
CAVAN: Raymond Galligan; Jason McLoughlin, Padraig Faulkner, Conor Moynagh; Gerard Smith, Killian Clarke, Conor Rehill; Conor Brady, Gearoid McKiernan; Martin Reilly, Dara McVeety, Niall Murray; Oisin Kiernan, Thomas Galligan, Conor Madden.
ARMAGH: Blaine Hughes; James Horgan, Aaron McKay, Paul Hughes; Ryan Kennedy, Brendan Donaghy, Aidan Forker; Jarly Óg Burns, Niall Grimley; Aidan Nugent, Rory Grugan; Jemar Hall; Jamie Clarke, Rian O'Neill, Andrew Murnin.
