Ulster SFC Quarter-Finals

Slaughtneil (Derry) v Omagh (Tyrone), Celtic Park, 7pm

Having won two of the last three Ulster titles significant hope and expectation is attached to Slaughtneil once more.

Mickey Moran's charges, though, will be utterly aware of the threat Omagh St Enda's carry.

Any team that advances from a demanding Tyrone Championship is worthy of the utmost respect.

Omagh were beaten narrowly by Slaughtneil in the 2014 provincial decider so there is some recent history also.

Paddy Crozier is in charge of Omagh St Enda's, who shaded a tight battle against Errigal Ciaran.

The McMahons and Ronan O'Neill are key figures for Omagh, while Slaughtneil have already beaten Kilcoo in the preliminary round.

Patsy Bradley's goal guided the holders into the last eight where another stern assignment awaits.

Derrygonnelly Harps (Fermanagh) v Armagh Harps (Armagh), Brewster Park, 7pm

Derrygonnelly Harps have won the last three Fermanagh Championships and will be hoping to make an impact against Armagh Harps.

Despite a shaky start when Devenish thundered into the contest, Derrygonnelly eventually cruised to a convincing Fermanagh Final win.

Ryan Jones is an important figure, while Leigh Jones and Conal Jones also contributed scores.

Armagh Harps terminated a 26 year search for a County triumph by beating Maghery. Charlie Vernon is an accomplished player while Ultan Lennon's 1-5 haul mattered deeply.

Munster SFC Quarter-Final

Clonmel Commercials (Tipperary) v Dr Crokes (Kerry), Clonmel, 2pm

All Ireland champions Dr Crokes face a tricky task against 2015 Munster winners Clonmel Commercials.

Crokes fended off the spirited South Kerry challenge last time out with Daithi Casey and Kieran O'Leary excellent in attack.

Colm Cooper and Jordan Kiely were both introduced as substitutes for Crokes, who remain a serious outfit.

Commercials beat first time Tipperary finalists, Killenaule, by 2-9 to 0-8.

Richie Gunne and Jamie Peters bagged late goals in the closing stages for Clonmel, who were inspired by Michael Quinlivan.

Ulster SFC Quarter-Finals

Cavan Gaels (Cavan) v Lamh Dhearg (Antrim), Kingspan Breffni, 2.30pm

Cavan Gaels have won 10 Cavan titles since 2001. Delivering in Ulster is next on their agenda, but this will be a tough encounter against a pumped up Lamh Dhearg.

Seanie Johnston and Martin Dunne provide a sharp inside threat for the Gaels.

Lamh Dhearg waited 25 years for an Antrim crown, but they produced when it counted to beat St John's in an absorbing final.

Paddy Cunningham was immense in that match and Lamh Dhearg will need him to maintain that form.

Scotstown (Monaghan) v Kilcar (Donegal), Clones, 2.30pm

Another match that has captured the imagination between two teams sprinkled with inter-county stars.

Rory Beggan, Kieran Hughes, Darren Hughes, and Conor McCarthy are talented and proven performers at the highest level.

Ryan McHugh, Mark McHugh, and Paddy McBrearty lead the Kilcar charge, while the role of veteran Michael Hegarty shouldn't be underestimated either.

This will be a revealing game in Clones, with whoever prevails well set to launch a real bid for provincial honours.

Leinster SFC First Round

Newtown Blues (Louth) v Rathnew (Wicklow), Drogheda, 2pm

A decade and a half ago Rathnew were serious competitors in Leinster.

On Sunday Rathnew travel to Drogheda to face an improving Newtown Blues, who cantered to victory in the Louth final.

Ross Nally was immense against Dundalk Gaels while Conor Moore also netted a goal.

Leighton Glynn continues to impress for Rathnew, while Nicky Mernagh and James Stafford are other influential players.

Mullinalaghta (Longford) v Eire Og (Carlow), Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, 2pm

Eire Og claimed a first Carlow title since 2012 by winning last weekend's replay against Rathvilly.

Darragh O'Brien, Jordan Morrissey, and Eoghan Ruth impressed for Eire Og and now face St Columba's, Mullinalagtha, who retained the Longford title.

Rian Brady struck four points in that victory, while Donie McElligott and the McGivneys must also be watched by Eire Og.

Rhode (Offaly) v Portlaoise (Laois), O'Connor Park, 2.30pm

Rhode have lost five Leinster finals since 2006 so they are well and truly used to these type of games.

Portlaoise, dominant in Laois, have produced in the province too, though winning titles in 2004 and 2009.

Paul Cahillane continues to score heavily for Portlaoise, while at the opposite end of the field Rhode's Niall McNamee will pose a threat.

Clare SFC Final

Clondegad v Kilmurry-Ibrickane, Cusack Park, 3pm

It has been an encouraging stint for Clondegad, who followed by an Intermediate title in 2011 with an Under 21 crown a year later.

Featuring several of the Ballyea hurling panel, Clondegad also include the excellent Clare midfielder Gary Brennan.

Since 2002 Kilmurry-Ibrickane have won seven Clare champions and are always serious contenders.

Meath SFC Final

Simonstown Gaels v Summerhill, Pairc Tailteann, 3pm

Simonstown Gaels have been involved in some lively matches in this year's Championship, but they return to the final.

In the quarter-finals Simonstown trailed by 11 points at one stage before launching a daring and dramatic rally.

Seanie Dalton and Barry Dardis have impressed for Summerhill, while Colm O'Rourke's Simonstown are gunning to retain the Keegan Cup.

Westmeath SFC Final

Tyrrellspass v St Loman's, TEG Cusack Park, 3.30pm

For the third time in five years these two teams contest a Westmeath SFC Final.

A John Heslin and Paul Sharry powered Loman's have won the previous two deciders, but Tyrrellspass were effective against The Downs at the semi-final stage.

Westmeath captain Ger Egan was in splendid scoring form kicking nine points and Luke Dempsey's Loman's outfit will need to curb his influence.

Wexford SFC Final

Starlights v St Martin's, Innovate Wexford Park, 3pm

What a campaign it has been for the St Martin's club in Wexford.

Last weekend Martin's defeated Oulart-The Ballagh in the hurling final and now they are looking to complete a double by overcoming Starlights.

Martin's only senior football success occurred back in 2013, while Starlights have triumphed since 2004.
