Allianz Football League Division Four
Saturday February 25
Carlow v Limerick, Netwatch Cullen Park, 7pm
Having been relegated from Division Four Limerick were hopeful about launching a promotion bid, but two early defeats have been costly.
Losses to Wexford and Westmeath ensure Billy Lee's team will be especially eager to record a victory against Carlow.
It has been a strange start to the campaign for Carlow, who battled well to earn a draw against Westmeath.
London, though, delivered a good display to overcome Turlough O'Brien's charges a fortnight ago.
LIMERICK: Donal O'Sullivan; Garrett Noonan, Johnny McCarthy, Sean O'Dea; Paul White, Cillian Fahy, Brian Fanning; Darragh Treacy, Iain Corbett; Brian Donovan, Cian Sheehan, Seamus O'Carroll; Ger Collins, Danny Neville, Jamie Lee.
Sunday February 26
Wicklow v London, Aughrim, 1pm
Leitrim and Waterford have already beaten Wicklow convincingly so this match with London will be a difficult assignment for Wicklow.
Ciaran Deely's effective work with London was reflected during a fine win over Carlow that hinted at the Exiles potential.
Wicklow have lost every competitive encounter so far in 2017 which is a worry so significant improvement is necessary.
Kieran Martin is an influential figure for Westmeath.
Wexford v Waterford, Innovate Wexford Park, 1pm
A high stakes, top of the table encounter promises to be revealing for both teams.
Waterford are hugely encouraged by their triumphs over London and Wicklow, but they face one of the fancied teams on Sunday.
Seamus 'Banty' McEnaney is pleased with Wexford's attitude and application. PJ Banville and Ciaran Lyng were sharp in Wexford's critical success over Leitrim at Carrick-on-Shannon.
That was an important result for Wexford, but Waterford, still prompted by Paul Whyte, appear to be improving steadily.
WATERFORD: Stephen Enright; Brian Looby, Thomas O'Gorman, Tadhg O hUallachain; James McGrath, Stephen Prendergast, Ray O'Ceallaigh; Tommy Prendergast, Michael Curry; Michael O'Halloran, Paul Whyte, Conor Murray; Donie Breathnach, Joey Veale, Patrick Hurney.
Westmeath v Leitrim, TEG Cusack Park, 2pm
Another vital clash in the midlands is scheduled with Westmeath intent on building on their encouraging win against Limerick.
Leitrim did well to beat Wicklow comfortably and they subsequently gave Wexford a serious fright.
Brendan Guckian's work is earning respect in Leitrim and the visitors will want to produce a similarly gritty performance in Mullingar.
Three relegations in a row is a disappointment for Westmeath, but Tom Cribbin's team have reached the last two Leinster Finals.
Ger Egan, John Heslin, Paul Sharry, and Kieran Martin were all prominent at the Gaelic Grounds when Westmeath outwitted Limerick.
