Despite a raft of retirements Donegal have remained highly competitive in Division One of the Allianz Football League.

Sunday's draw with Ulster rivals Monaghan was another keenly contested match with Michael Murphy brilliant for Donegal.

Murphy scored seven points, including three from play as the spoils were eventually shared with Monaghan.

Dublin made it 35 Allianz Football League and Championship matches unbeaten when cruising to an emphatic triumph over Roscommon at Croke Park.

The dynamic Paul Flynn was influential for Dublin scoring 1-6 from play.

Flynn has been such a consistent and classy performer throughout Dublin's excellent run.

Kildare made it back to back promotions by beating Clare in Division Two of the Allianz Football League at Newbridge on Sunday.

A year ago Clare defeated Kildare in the Division Three decider at Croke Park, but the Lilywhites, inspired by Paul Cribbin, claimed the spoils.

Cribbin contributed three points, including a last gasp winner as Kildare eventually shrugged off Clare's spirited resistance.
