Limerick Senior Football Championship Final

ADARE 4-7 BALLYLANDERS 0-4

Adare outclassed Ballylanders as they claimed their third Limerick SFC title in four years at the LIT Gaelic Grounds today.

They dominated from start to finish and got the perfect start to the match when Hugh Bourke opened the scoring by blasting the ball to the net after seven minutes.

With the wind at their backs, Adare’s advantage steadily grew and then they landed another decisive blow when Shane O’Connor converted a penalty that helped them into a 2-3 to 0-1 half-time lead.

Ballylanders started the second-half strongly, but any hopes of a comeback were when Bourke struck for his second goal.

Adare added a final layer of icing to a very sweet victory in injury-time when Roy Gleeson struck for a fourth goal.
