Offaly GAA's management committee has recommended Liam Kearns as the new manager of the Faithful county senior footballers.

Kearns was proposed to the management committee at a meeting on August 11 by a specially appointed sub-committee of Michael Duignan (chairperson), Colm Cummins (secretary), Dervill Dolan (treasurer), Stephen Darby, and Paul Rouse.

Kearns will be granted a three year term, with his selectors and backroom team set to be announced soon.

An Offaly GAA statement said: "The decision will be brought to the next Offaly County Board meeting for ratification."

The experienced Kearns, who was recently in charge of Roscommon club Clann na nGael, has previously managed Limerick, Laois, and Tipperary.
