Kieran McGeary, David Clifford, and Cathal McShane are this week's nominees for GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

Tyrone duo Kieran McGeary and Cathal McShane and Kerry’s David Clifford are this week’s nominees for GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA's official Instagram page.

Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, August 31, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.

Kieran McGeary (Tyrone)

The Duracell Bunny of the Tyrone team, McGeary covered every blade of grass in Croke Park on Saturday. Made some key interceptions and turn-overs in defence, and was Tyrone’s most effective link-man between defence and attack.

David Clifford (Kerry)

Clifford was poetry in motion at times as he top-scored with nine points. Even when he was hobbling on one leg he still managed to win two late frees that brought the game to extra-time. When he had to retire injured, it was a huge blow for Kerry.

Cathal McShane (Tyrone)

McShane’s impact from the bench was arguably the decisive factor in the game. He came on after 43 minutes and finished the match with a personal haul of 1-3 that played pivotal role in Tyrone’s victory.
