GAA.ie Footballer of the Week nominees

Tyrone duo Darren McCurry and Niall Morgan and Mayo’s Lee Keegan are this week’s nominees for GAA.ie Footballer of the Week

The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA's official Instagram page.

Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, September 14, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.

Darren McCurry

The Edendork sharpshooter had a hugely effective All-Ireland Final. He scored 1-4, 1-2 of which was from play, and won a number of big frees.

Niall Morgan

Tyrone’s goalkeeper played a pivotal role in their All-Ireland Final win. His restarts were excellent, most particularly the one that led to Tyrone’s second goal, and his ball-handling and ability to launch counter-attacks was special too.

Lee Keegan

One of Mayo football’s great servants, Keegan was rose to the occasion yet again on Saturday. He defended tigerishly, and was very effective on the front foot too, scoring a fine point.

Players of the Week are decided based on votes cast by followers of the Official GAA Instagram page.
