Tyrone’s Darren McCurry, Mayo’s Ryan O’Donoghue, and Kerry’s Paudie Clifford are this week’s nominees for GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.
The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA's official Instagram page.
Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, July 13, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.
Darren McCurry (Tyrone)
Darren McCurry has been in sensational form all year for Tyrone and produced another display of the highest calibre in their Ulster SFC quarter-final victory over Cavan. He finished with a personal tally of 10 points – five from play, four frees, and one converted mark.
Ryan O’Donoghue (Mayo)
O’Donoghue was the key man in a Mayo attacked that cut the Leitrim defence to pieces in the Connacht SFC semi-final. He finished with a personal tally of 1-6, 1-3 of which was from play, and did serious damage too as a link man with his searing pace and clever distribution.
Paudie Clifford (Kerry)
Paudie Clifford has quickly become as indispensable to the Kerry team as his brother David. A ferociously hard-working link-man in the Kerry attack, he had 34 possessions in their victory over Tipperary and was the man who knitted much of their best attacking plays together.
