Jack McCarron (Monaghan)

A lively game at St Tiernach's Park featured several splendid Monaghan performances, but Jack McCarron's skill was critical to the victory.

McCarron's finishing qualities are well known, but on Sunday in Clones he fashioned scoring opportuinities throughout an interesting encounter.

Sean O'Shea (Kerry)

Sean O'Shea was excellent for Kerry, who secured a good early Allianz League win over Tyrone.

Under Peter Keane's stewardship Kerry's mix of emerging and established players are eager to impress and O'Shea was prominent in the triumph.

Jason Doherty (Mayo)

On a wretched Saturday night in Castlebar Jason Doherty provided leadership and some important scores as Mayo defeated neighbours Roscommon.

Doherty's ability to win hard eard possession and use it wisely was one of the chief reasons Mayo overturned a four point half time deficit.
