Clare SFC Final

KILMURRY-IBRICKANE 1-14 CLONDEGAD 0-14

Kilmurry-Ibrickane retained the Clare SFC title following victory over first time finalists Clondegad at Cusack Park.

A tight encounter was ultimately decided by Michael O'Dwyer's 54th minute goal.

That major edged Kilmurry-Ibrickane 1-13 to 0-10 in front and while Clondegad replied, the holders held on.

At half-time Kilmurry-Ibrickane led by 0-6 to 0-4 despite the best efforts of Clondegad's Gary Brennan and Tony Kelly.

Eoghan Donnellan's point in the 42nd minute had Clondegad level at 0-8 each, but Kilmurry-Ibrickane made a vital burst with Keelan Sexton impressing.

O'Dwyer's intervention proved to be significant and while Clondegad struck four of the last five points, Kilmurry-Ibrickane weren't going to be denied.

Meath SFC Final

SIMONSTOWN GAELS 2-9 SUMMERHILL 0-7

Simonstown Gaels remain on top of the pile in Meath following a convincing victory over Summerhill at Pairc Tailteann.

Colm O'Rourke's charges were 1-3 to 0-4 in front at the interval following an early Padraig McKeever goal.

Five minutes after the restart Conor Sheridan added a second goal for Simonstown Gaels which moved them 2-4 to 0-4 clear.

McKeever and Shane O'Rourke rifled over some nice scores in the dying minutes to seal another satisfying success for Simonstown Gaels.

Westmeath SFC Final

ST LOMAN'S 3-13 TYRRELLSPASS 0-14

St Loman's completed a three in a row in Westmeath beating Tyrrellspass at TEG Cusack Park.

Luke Dempsey's Loman's outfit were 2-5 to 0-8 ahead at half-time.

Goals in the opening six minutes by John Heslin and Sean Flanagan gave the favourites a perfect start in the midlands.

Shane Flynn was sent off for Loman's in the first half and Tyrrellspass battled back into contention.

Ben Gavin was dismissed late on before Heslin embellished Loman's win with a third goal for the holders.

Wexford SFC Final

STARLIGHTS 0-17 ST MARTIN'S 1-8

St Martin's were denied a Wexford SFC double by an excellent Starlights side, who were worthy winners.

Last weekend Martin's claimed hurling glory, but they were always in trouble against Starlights, who dictated the agenda in the first half with Liam Ryan outstanding.

Despite conceding a brilliant goal to Martin's Ciaran Lyng, Starlights were 0-9 to 1-2 in front at the break.

It was a similar story when the match restarted as Starlights, with Alan Tobin prominent, closed out the game with the minimum of fuss.
