Roscommon 1-21 Sligo 0-15

Roscommon cruised to a convincing Connacht FBD League win over Sligo on Friday evening.

Davy Burke's outfit dominated the opening period, accumulating a significant 1-13 to 0-4 interval advantage.

It was a similar story after the break as Roscommon remained in control against a youthful Sligo selection.

Daire Cregg netted Roscommon's goal in the first half with Cian Connolly, Donie Smith, Cathal Heneghan, and Diarmuid Murtagh clipping points.

Ultimately it meant Roscommon led by 12 points at the turnaround and Sligo were unable to recover.

Sligo afforded game time to several emerging players as Roscommon advanced to the penultimate round.

Next Friday Galway face Leitrim in the first semi-final with Roscommon meeting the winners of Mayo and London the following evening.
