Allianz Football League Division Four

DERRY 2-16 LEITRIM 1-12

WEXFORD 0-14 LIMERICK 1-10

WATERFORD 2-9 LONDON 0-7

ANTRIM 2-15 WICKLOW 0-10

Derry came out on top in their Division 4 final dress rehearsal with Leitrim when they won by 2-16 to 1-12 at Celtic Park.

It’s a first defeat of the campaign for Terry Hyland’s men but they won’t have long to wait to avenge this one as the sides will meet again in Croke Park in the divisional showdown.

Derry took a 0-8 to 0-7 lead into the break but two goals in the second half from Shane McGuigan proved decisive in a game where both sides had already secured promotion.

Those strikes helped Derry pull clear but Leitrim kept battling away and Gary Plunkett found the net for them but it wasn’t enough to save their 100% start to this season’s Allianz League.

Waterford secured their third win of the campaign when they scored a good 2-9 to 0-7 win over London at McGovern Park in Ruislip.

Conor Murray found the net to give the visitors a one-point interval lead and he also fired to the net after the restart to wrap up a good win against a London side who remain bottom of the table.

Wexford also got their third win of the season when they defeated Limerick by 0-14 to 1-10 at Innovate Wexford Park.

The accuracy of Jonathin Bealin, who kicked five points, was crucial in their hard-earned victory against a Limerick side who went into the contest also with two victories under their belt.

A goal from Sean McSweeney gave Limerick great hope but Wexford, with Conor Devitt and Eoghan Nolan prominent, held on for victory.

Antrim secured their second win of the campaign when two goals from Matthew Fitzpatrick helped them to a 2-15 to 0-10 victory over Wicklow.

Antrim led by 0-7 to 0-6 at the break in Corrigan Park in Belfast but never looked back when Fitzpatrick got in for his first goal four minutes after the restart and he crowned a fine win when he found the net again in the closing stages.
