Michael Quinlivan bagged a dramatic late goal as Tipperary earned promotion from Division Three.

Liam Kearns' team trailed by two points in the closing stages, but Quinlivan landed the decisive blow for the Premier County.

Tipperary will now face Louth in the Division Three decider at Croke Park next Saturday.

Armagh led at the interval by 0-7 to 0-4, but Quinlivan, who finished with a 3-1 haul was Tipperary's star.

A Tullamore thriller finished with victory for Offaly, who survived, while Laois were relegated.

Offaly led by 1-9 to 1-6 at half-time after Sean Doyle and Donie Kingston traded goals.

Graham Guilfoyle and Doyle added further majors for Offaly, while Kevin Meaney and two more from Kingston completed the goalscoring as the Faithful survived.

Longford earned a share of the spoils from their trip to Belfast - a result which ensured the midlanders remain in Division Three.

Seanie McCormack kicked a last gasp free for Longford to claim a draw at Corrigan Park.

Niall Murphy was in excellent form for Sligo, who registered a victory over Louth at the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda.

Carlow claimed a third place finish in Division Four following an encouraging win over an experimental Wexford side at Netwatch Cullen Park.

Jamie Clarke struck two goals for Turlough O'Brien's team.

Westmeath proved to be far too strong for London at Cusack Park.

Tom Cribbin's team led at the interval by 3-19 to 0-3 with John Connellan, Shane Dempsey, and David Lynch scoring goals.

Limerick, who have improved in recent weeks, carved out a victory against Wicklow at Newcastlewest.

Seamus O'Carroll and Danny Neville hit goals for Billy Lee's charges.
