EirGrid All-Ireland U20 Football Championship Semi-Final

Kerry 0-12 Meath 0-11

This was a hugely satisfying success for Kerry at FBD Semple Stadium.

In a high quality encounter, Tomás Ó Sé's outfit delivered a performance of substance and style against Meath.

At the end of an absorbing opening period, Kerry led 0-8 to 0-7, and it was similarly interesting after the restart.

Scores weren't delivered with the same frequency, but it remained a hard fought and lively tussle as Kerry prevailed.

Meath settled impressively accumulating a 0-4 to 0-1 advantage before Kerry, prompted by Cormac Dillon, responded.

Tomas Kennedy, Daniel Kirby, and Dillon registered points for the Kingdom to level matters in Thurles.

Jamie Murphy was prominent for Meath, who trailed by the narrowest of margins at the turnaround.

When the action recommenced Kerry edged two clear in the 47th minute courtesy of a Paddy Lane effort.

Kerry didn't add another score as Meath batted until the bitter end as Murphy converted a free in the closing stages. Meath had opportunities to force extra-time, but Kerry advanced.
