John J. Higgins Collection, 1914-1917

The John J. Higgins collection consists primarily of letters received by Higgins from a variety of sources relating to the organisation of inter-county hurling in Leix (Laois) during the period 1914-1917. The collection offers a rare insight into the ‘behind-the-scenes’ organisation that was involved in the early years of the G.A.A. championships.
