Round-up: Weekend's senior club championship action

Antrim

Cuchallains Dunloy topped Group Two following a comprehensive win over Naomh Eanna.

Loughgiel Shamrocks, St John's, and Ruairi Óg Cushendall, prompted by a Joseph McLaughlin goal, also registered wins.

Armagh

The draw for next weekend's Armagh SFC preliminary quarter-final has provided some interesting tussles.

Culloville, Killeavy, Clann Eireann, and Dromintee topped their groups to secure quarter-final berths.

Carlow

Éire Óg defeated Palatine to secure a place in the Carlow SFC semi-finals alongside Rathvilly.

At the quarter-final stage Palatine will meet Grange, while holders Old Leighlin meet Bagenalstown Gaels in a fortnight.

The Carlow SHC semi-finals take place at Netwatch Cullen Park next Sunday. Ballinkillen clash with St Mullins, while Mount Leinster Rangers play Bagenalstown Gaels.

Cavan

Crosserlough, Ramor United, Cavan Gaels, Kingscourt Stars, Gowna, and Killygarry all posted wins in the Round Three of the Cavan SFC.

The draw for the Round Four fixtures has also been confirmed.

Clare

The main talking point following a lively weekend of Clare SFC action is that 2023 champions Cratloe face a relegation battle.

Three teams - Éire Óg, Kildysart, Kilmurry-Ibrickane, Milltown, Ennistymon, Lissycasey, and Doonbeg have secured places in the quarter-final stages of a competitive Championship.

Doora-Barefield meet Corofin to determine who takes the remaining spot in the last eight.

Cork

In the Cork Senior Hurling Championship Divisions/Colleges Final, Imokilly overcame Seandun.

Jack Leahy scored 1-10 for Imokilly, who will now feature in the Cork SHC Quarter-Finals.

Derry

There was no shortage of action in Derry as Lavey, Newbridge, Glenullin, Steelstown, Bellaghy, Glen, and Magherafelt all earned Round One wins.

The winners from Round One will now play in Round 2A.

In the Dongegal SHC, St Eunan's and Setanta advanced to the decider.

St Eunan's defeated Burt on Saturday evening, while Setanta beat Seán MacCumhaills.

Down

Joe McFlynn scored 2-9 and Ronan Lavery saved a penalty as Carryduff defeated Kilcoo in Round 2A of the Down SFC.

Loughinisland, and Bryansford won the other Round 2A fixtures. Clonduff and Burren clash at Páirc Esler on Monday evening.

In Round 2B, Mayobridge, Castlewellan, Saval, and Downpatrick prevailed.

Dublin

In the Dublin SHC, Na Fianna and Kilmacud maintained their perfect records in Group One. Both clubs have won four matches on the spin in the competition.

Cuala are top of Group B, following a comprehensive 3-25 to 0-10 triumph over Faughs.

Erins Isle, Na Fianna, Crokes, Cuala, Lucan Sarsfields, and St Jude's triumphed in their respective matches at the weekend.

Galway

Corofin, Maigh Cuilinn, Salthill-Knocknacarra, and Annaghdown have advanced to the Galway SFC quarter-finals.

The draw for the preliminary quarter-finals was made on Sunday evening.

Kildare

Holders Naas were emphatic winners over Ardclough in the Kildare SHC.

Celbridge and Coill Dubh, who were inspired by Mark Delaney's 1-5 haul against Confey, also chalked up opening weekend victories.

Limerick

Monaleen caused a surprise in the Limerick SHC, defeating Doon on Friday evening.

Mungret overcame Adare, while Na Piarsaigh, with Peter Casey starring, were always in control against Ahane.

A Jason Gillane hat-trick helped Patrickswell to a convincing victory over Garryspillane, and Newcastle West enjoyed a stirring success against Kildimo-Pallakenry. An in-form Kilmallock defeated Ballybrown.

Longford

The group stages of the Longford SFC have concluded with eight clubs remaining in the race for honours, and the quarter-final draw completed.

Louth

It was another eventful weekend in the Louth SFC.

Hunterstown Rovers enjoyed a 1-14 to 0-14 win over Ardee St Mary's, while Dundalk Gales were 2-16 to 0-13 victors against St Patrick's.

Cooley Kickhams prevailed by the narrowest of margins against Newtown Blues on Saturday evening.

Meath

James Murray struck crucial late scores as Trim and Dunganny drew in the Meath SHC.

Rataoth defeated Kildalkey, and Kilmessan overcame Na Fianna on Friday evening.

Monaghan

Truagh Gaels will meet Castleblaney in the Monaghan SHC Final.

In a well contested match, Truagh Gaels beat Monaghan Harps by a point, while Castleblaney overcame a spirited Inniskeen outfit.

Offaly

Rhode and Ferbane have advanced to the Offaly SFC semi-finals following the weekend's action.

Clara will face Shamrocks in the quarter-finals, while Ballycommon meet holders Tullamore, who were beaten 3-13 to 0-16 by Rhode on Saturday.

Roscommon

St Brigid's, Padraig Pearses, and Oran advance to the quarter-final as group winners in the Roscommon SFC.

Strokestown, Boyle, and Castlerea St Kevin's are also in the last eight. They will be joined by the two winners of the preliminary quarter-finals

Tipperary

The group phase of the Tipperary SFC was completed at the weekend. Holders Clonmel Commercials and Kilsheelan-Kilcash are through to the semi-finals.

Moyle Rovers, JK Brackens, Ardfinnan, and Loughmore-Castleiney have all booked quarter-final spots.

Waterford

In Round Four of the Westmeath SFC, The Downs defeated Caulry, while Tubberclair overcame Tang on Sunday.

The previous day Moate All Whites survived to win, despite a determined late rally from Tyrrellspass, while Coralstown/Kinnegad and St Loman's drew a thriller, 1-18 each.

Wicklow

Rathnew beat Tinahely by a point in an exciting Wicklow SFC Round Three clash.

Éire Óg Greystones and Hollywood drew, while Kiltegan defeated Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney.

Baltinglass cruised to victory against Blessington, while Bray Emmets enjoyed a 4-15 to 0-20 success over Carnew Emmets.
