Ruairí Óg Cushendall defeated Loughiel Shamrocks in the Antrim Senior Camogie Club Championship semi-final.

Ruairí Óg Cushendall defeated Loughiel Shamrocks in the Antrim Senior Camogie Club Championship semi-final.

It was a packed weekend of club camogie action, with three county finals down for decision.

However, perhaps the most eye-catching result from a national point of view came in Antrim at the semi-final stages, as reigning Ulster champions Loughgiel Shamrocks were knocked out.

Chasing a 13th consecutive county title, Shamrocks became undone against old rivals Ruairí Óg Cushendall, on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-9.

Cushendall will face Dunloy in the IN2 Engineering Senior Championship, who had too much for Ballycastle in the other semi-final.

Elsewhere, 2024 AIB All-Ireland finalists Truagh-Clonlara regained the Clare title. Despite a late goal from opponents Kilmaley, Truagh Clonlara were too strong, prevailing 0-16 to 1-8.

In Limerick, Newcastlewest made it four in a row, as a late Rebecca Delee point got the reigning champions over the line, 0-13 to 1-9.

Eglish retained their crown in Tyrone on Saturday, with an impressive 0-20 to 0-9 win over Naomh Trease in the decider. After successfully defending their Tyrone NR Trucks Senior Championship, they will now look to do likewise in the Ulster Intermediate Championship.

The Galway Windows and Rooflights LTD Senior A Championship semi-finals are set. Athenry and Sarsfields, who earned byes to the last four, will face Oranmore Maree and Shamrocks respectively.

Oranmore Maree defeated Ardrahan, 2-14 to 1-14, while Shamrocks overcame Mullagh, 2-12 to 1-12 in last weekend’s quarter-finals.

Dicksoro and Piltown will contest the Kilkenny Michael Lyng Motors Senior Championship final, after both sides came through narrow contests on Saturday afternoon. 2025 Leinster winners Dicksboro saw off Thomastown, 0-13 to 0-8, while Piltown edged Tullaroan, 0-12 to 0-8.

Swatragh and Bellaghy will face off in the Derry Errigal Group Senior Championship decider. Swatragh beat Lavey, 3-22 to 1-10, while Bellaghy bested Ballinascreen, 3-14 to 2-12.

The Down Canal Court Hotel Senior Championship final line-up is confirmed. Portaferry needed extra-time to see off Liatroim, 2-13 to 1-13, while Clonduff claimed victory over Ballycran in the other semi-final.

Naas and Celbridge will contest the Kildare Cúl Sliotars Senior Championship, after the teams defeated St Laurence’s and Maynooth respectively.

Athleague reached the Roscommon Dermot Hughes Cars Senior Championship final with victory over Four Roads on Sunday, but they have to wait to learn their opponents in the decider, after Oran and St Dominic’s finished level, with a replay set for Saturday 17th October.

Elsewhere, Tralee Parnells and Cillard will meet in the Kerry Aspen Grove Junior Championship final.

Meanwhile, Mattock Rangers overcame St Kevin’s, 2-7 to 2-6 in the third round of the Louth Whiteriver Senior Championship on Friday.

In the Cavan Mannok Senior Championship, Lacken and Denn drew, while Laragh were too strong for Castletara.
