Dicksboro celebrate after winning the AIB Leinster Club Senior Camogie Championship.

Five teams remain in the race for the AIB All-Ireland Camogie Senior Club Championship, after two thrilling provincial finals on Sunday afternoon.

Dicksboro of Kilkenny overcame Oulart-the Ballagh by the smallest of margins at SETU Carlow, 0-17 to 1-13. The 2023 All-Ireland champions looked to be in deep trouble at the half-way mark, with an Una Leacy goal helping the Wexford representatives to a 1-9 to 0-7 lead.

However, Dicksboro delivered a strong second stanza to overturn the five-point deficit, limiting their opponents to just four points after the break to prevail.

Meanwhile, Antrim’s Loughgiel Shamrocks were too strong for Clonduff in the Ulster showpiece, sealing a fourth consecutive provincial title. Fresh from being honoured at the PwC Camogie All-Stars on the Soaring Stars team on Saturday night at Croke Park, Roisin McCormick top-scored with 1-10 for Loughgiel as they triumphed 2-15 to 1-10. The Antrim champions were reduced to 14 players late in the first-half, but McCormick’s scoring helped them through, and a late Katie McKillop goal sealed the victory.

Dicksboro will face Athenry of Galway in the All-Ireland semi-finals, while Loughgiel will be up against the Munster champions. The southern province will crown its champion next Saturday, 22nd November when De La Salle of Waterford and St Finbarr’s of Cork meet in Thurles.

Meanwhile, Camross of Laois ran out 5-7 to 1-7 winners over Na Fianna of Meath in the Leinster Intermediate Championship final. The Royals trumped the O’Moore County in the Junior A final, however, as Dunboyne downed St Lazarian’s, 0-12 to 1-8.

Eglish and Crossmaglen will have to do it all over again, after the Ulster Intermediate final finished level, 3-10 to 0-19.
