Round-up: Weekend's camogie club championship action

It was another packed weekend of action in the camogie club championships, as the picture becomes clearer in several counties, with a number of county championships reaching the closing stages.
In the Antrim IN2 Engineering Senior Championship, holders Loughgiel Shamrocks continued their pursuit of another title with an impressive 4-16 to 0-09 victory over Mac Uílín CLG. Naomh Muire Acadh Eochaille defeated Brídíní Óga by 2-13 to 2-08, while Cuchullains Dun Lathaí and Ruairí Óg Cushendall could not be separated, finishing level at 0-10 to 1-07.
Crossmaglen and Granemore booked their places in the Armagh Credit Union Senior Championship final. Crossmaglen produced a commanding performance to overcome Derrynoose by 3-11 to 0-03, while Granemore edged Ballymacnab by 2-09 to 1-10 in a much tighter semi-final.
There were comprehensive victories for both Crosserlough and Lacken in round four of the Mannok Cavan Senior Championship.
Truagh Clonlara will face Kilmaley in the Clare Credit Unions Senior Championship final. 2024 All-Ireland finalists Truagh Clonlara defeated reigning Clare champions Inagh Kilnamona, 4-12 to 2-10. Meanwhile, Kilmaley overcame Scariff-Ogonnelloe.
The final round of the Canal Court Hotel Down Senior Championship saw Liatroim defeat Ballygalget by 1-17 to 0-04. Ballycran were 1-16 to 1-01 winners over Ballyholland, while Clonduff finished their group campaign with a 1-15 to 1-08 victory against Portaferry.
In the PTSB Dublin Senior Championship, St Vincent’s recorded a 2-12 to 0-08 win over Ballyboden St Enda’s. Na Fianna defeated Castleknock by 3-12 to 1-14, Naomh Jude were 2-18 to 0-10 winners against Faughs Celtic and Cuala edged St Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh by the minimum margin, 0-09 to 0-08.
The fourth and final round of the Galway Windows and Rooflights Ltd Senior A Championship group stages produced a number of close encounters. Ardrahan and Mullagh shared the points following a 0-11 apiece draw, while Clarinbridge narrowly defeated Davitts by 2-10 to 1-12. Shamrocks overcame Oranmore Maree by 2-15 to 0-16, and Sarsfields prevailed by a single point in a high-scoring meeting with Athenry, winning 4-18 to 4-17.
In Kilkenny, Piltown lifted the Senior League title following a 1-17 to 1-09 win over Thomastown at Páirc Lachtain. The Michael Lyng Motors Senior Championship began the following day, with St Brigid’s edging Windgap by a single point, 3-10 to 1-15. There were also opening-round victories for Young Irelands, Danesfort and Clara, who overcame St Martin’s, James Stephens and O’Loughlin Gaels respectively.
Bruff and reigning champions Newcastlewest advanced to the Woodlands House Hotel Limerick Senior Championship final. Bruff defeated Monaleen by 2-12 to 1-11, while Newcastlewest produced a strong display to overcome Adare by 3-17 to 1-08.
The Louth Whiteriver Senior Championship began last Friday evening, with St Bride’s opening their campaign with a 2-13 to 1-06 victory over Mattock Rangers.
In the Bective Stud Meath Senior Championship, Na Fianna defeated Ratoath by 4-11 to 1-11, while Kilmessan and Killyon finished level at 0-10 to 2-04.
Finally, in the Roscommon Dermot Hughes Senior Championship, Oran defeated St Dominic’s by 1-11 to 0-06, while Four Roads were 3-12 to 1-11 winners over Athleague.
