Four first half goals ensured Kildare enjoyed an impressive win over Laois.

Cian McGrath pounced to score two majors in the opening 10 minutes as Kildare settled quickly.

Seán McLoughlin and Tom Power added further goals for Kildare, who were convincing winners.

Offaly scored five points in a row late on to edge out Meath.

Trailing 1-8 to 1-6, Offaly finished strongly with Odhran Fletcher (four) and James Hennessy landing vital points.

Killian Wynne netted an early goal for Offaly, but Meath responded with James Cully registering a major for the Royals, who led 1-6 to 1-3 at the turnaround.

At Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow's James Brennan and Kerry's John Curtin traded early goals, but the visitors' eventually prevailed.

Westmeath were always in control at TEG Cusack Park as the midlanders cruised to an emphatic win.
