Cavan had to come from behind with just 14 men to get the better of Down in the other quarter-final at Kingspan Breffni Park.
Two-pointers from Eoghan Convie and Callum Travers helped the Mourne lads open out a three points lead, with Dylan Kelly also on target.
Earlier Mark Reilly and Cian McConnell had hit the target for the home side, but it was Down who led by 0-6 to 0-3 at the interval.
Travers stretched the advantage with a two-point free, but despite the loss of midfielder Sam Maguire to a second booking, Cavan staged a strong comeback.
Faolan Graham, Jake Brady and McConnell, with a two-point free, brought them level at 0-8 each, before Brady fired in the game’s only goal on 48 minutes.
And they defended their lead by adding further scores through McConnell, Nathan Quigley and Brady to set up a semi-final meeting with Donegal.
