GALWAY 2-22 OFFALY 0-16
Dublin and Galway will contest the Dioralyte Walsh Cup Final after wins today over Westmeath and Offaly respectively.
Goals from Cian O’Sullivan, Conor Donohoe and Davy Keogh helped Dublin to a 13-point win over the Lake County.
2025 All-Star O’Sullivan scored the first of the game after eight minutes and when Donohoe then bagged a quickfire 1-1 the hosts were in control at Parnell Park.
Keogh struck for his team’s third goal on 28 minutes and by half-time Dublin enjoyed a comfortable 3-12 to 0-11 lead.
Credit to Westmeath, they battled hard in the second-half and Eoin Keyes gave his team some hope with a goal after 44 minutes.
David Williams then drilled a second Westmeath goal to the back of the net from a close-range free, but it was Dublin who finished the game the stronger as points from Donohoe, Keogh, Donal Burke, Liam Mostyn, Neil Hogan and Sean Gallagher eased them to a convincing victory.
Meanwhile, Galway finished strongly to carve out a 12-point victory over Offaly at a wet Ballinasloe.
They scored 1-6 without reply in the final 10 minutes of the match as they got a big impact from their bench.
The home team led by five points at the break but Offaly had a good spell in the third quarter and with fifty minutes gone the gap was down to three points.
But then Galway came with that strong burst in the closing minutes as a Tom Monaghan goal and points from John Fleming, Jason Rabbitte, and Evan Niland killed off the Offaly challenge.
