Rob Finnerty is this week’s GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

The Galway sharpshooter received 3,816 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Donegal’s Shea Malone (2,825) and Cork’s Colm O’Callaghan.

Requiring a positive result against Dublin at Pearse Stadium, Galway were inspired by in-form attacker Rob Finnerty. The Salthill-Knocknacarra clubman was at his classy best, supplying eight points for Pádraic Joyce's outfit.

Shea Malone (Donegal)

It has been an encouraging Allianz Football League campaign for Shea Malone, who struck 2-3 in Donegal's high scoring win over Monaghan in Clones. Malone carries a potent attacking threat for Jim McGuinness' team.

Colm O'Callaghan (Cork)

Cork eked out a victory in Omagh over Tyrone with Colm O'Callaghan industrious throughout for John Cleary's charges. O'Callaghan thundered forward from midfield to supply three points from play.
