Rathmore 2-10 Dr Crokes 0-12
Substitute John Moynihan's late goal sealed the deal as Rathmore defeated Dr Crokes at Fitzgerald Stadium.
Leading by three points midway through the second half, Moynihan's major steered Rathmore six clear, and Dr Crokes were unable to respond.
Rathmore led 1-4 to 0-6 at the interval following a first half goal from Fionn Murphy - the first score of the game.
Crokes star Micheal Burns was sent off in the 18th minute as Rathmore eventually departed at the break armed with a slender lead.
When the action recommenced, Brendan O'Keeffe kicked a two pointer for a determined Rathmore outfit.
Moments later Crokes were awarded a penalty, but Tony Brosnan's effort went over the bar.
It was hard fought until the finish with Moynihan delivering in the closing stages as Rathmore prevailed.
