HURLING
Intriguing knockout matches are on the agenda throughout the country.
Down by the banks of the Lee, three Quarter-Final fixtures will be worth monitoring on Sunday.
Charleville, expected to be without Darragh Fitzgibbon, tussle with Glen Rovers in Mallow.
Despite a number of injuries, Sarsfields have still progressed to face Kanturk, while St Finbarr's meet Imokilly.
The Donegal decider, involving St Eunan's and Setanta, takes place on Saturday evening at O'Donnell Park.
Out west, the Galway SHC is at the Preliminary Quarter-Final stage. Significant interest surrounds the St Thomas' versus Gort encounter, while holders Loughrea clash with a Darragh Neary inspired Castlegar.
GAELIC FOOTBALL
It should be a lively few days in Mayo as eight clubs remain in SFC contention.
Following the All-Ireland success, there should be healthy crowds at the four games.
Aghamore, who have impressed so far, face Castlebar Mitchels, while Garrymore host Crossmolina Deel Rovers.
Breaffy against Westport and Claremorris versus Belmullet are other fixtures featured high quality footballers.
In the capital, four Dublin SFC Quarter-Finals take place this weekend.
Kilmacud Crokes' match against a Ciarán Kilkenny powered Castleknock is followed by Clontarf and Ballyboden St Enda's at Parnell Park on Saturday.
There is another attractive double header at the Donnycarney venue on Sunday with Cuala clashing with Skerries Harps, and Thomas Davis meeting Ballymun Kickhams.
The Meath SFC is also entering the Quarter-Final stage with several clubs believing that silverware can be attained.
Down south, in Kerry, Dr Crokes and Rathmore contest the Club Final, while the County Championship gets underway with a number of divisional clashes.
The Cavan SFC has reached the last eight with Gowna's match against Ramor United on Sunday capturing attention.
