It is getting lively now because only victory will suffice.

Four matches are on the agenda on Wednesday with two taking place in Limerick.

Mary I's clever and resourceful work continues to be reflected in this competition with a talented squad featuring Adam Hogan, Vince Harrington, and Shane O'Brien.

Victories over SETU Waterford and ATU Galway illustrated Mary I's ability, but UCD will pose a challenge.

Dara Purcell has been prominent for UCD, while Westmeath's David Williams is an extremely capable performer too.

UL, with classy operators sprinkled throughout the panel, face the Fitzgibbon Cup bluebloods, UCC.

The highly regarded Brian Ryan, who is in charge of UL, has no shortage of options with Adam English, Darragh McCarthy, Oisín O'Donoghue, and Adam Screeney crafty hurlers.

Having suffered a disappointing loss to MTU Cork, UCC responded against Garda College in Templemore.

William Buckley, Darragh Stakelum, and Ed McDermott were in good scoring form as UCC secured a vital victory.

After topping Group B, MTU Cork are armed with confidence, but DCU Dóchas Eireann is a tricky assignment in the last eight.

Mikey Finn, Diarmuid Healy, and Alan Walsh are important players for MTU Cork, while DCU Dóchas Eireann will be looking to Denis Walsh, Sam Byrne and Ollie Gaffney for inspiration.

In Dangan, University of Galway, managed by Frank Lohan, host SETU Waterford.

Sam O'Farrell and Charlie Mitchell have impressed for University of Galway, while SETU Waterford overcame ATU Galway in the group phase as John Groves, Cathal King, and Éanna Guilfoyle scored goals.
