The public has voted Limerick’s Peter Casey the GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The Limerick sharpshooter received votes 4,712 votes on the GAA's official Instagram page which put him ahead of Clare’s Mark Rodgers (2,438) and Antrim’s Seaan Elliott (2,290).

Peter Casey – Limerick

Before an awful injury ended his match, Peter Casey was the best forward on the field in Limerick’s win over Tipperary. He scored 1-2 from play and won a huge amount of ball thanks to the timing of his clever diagonal runs.

Mark Rodgers – Clare

Mark Rodgers clinical finishing played a big part in Clare’s dramatic Munster SHC victory over Cork on Sunday. He scored 1-6 and was a thorn in the side of the Cork defence all day.

Seaan Elliott - Antrim

Midfielder Seaan Elliott was at the heart of Antrim’s impressive win over Wexford on Saturday. He scored 1-3 and battled ferociously for breaking ball throughout the contest.
