Over 10,000 young players and over 1,000 volunteer coaches will participate in the Musco Talent Academy programme of games in the coming weeks.

The new youth development partnership with Musco Lighting supports underage Talent Academy Squads established in every county that complement the GAA’s existing Games Development structures and pathways.

The multi-year partnership is an investment in youth development programmes, equipment and coaching supports aimed at county-based U14–U16 Talent Academy Squads in both football and hurling.

The academies support the development of young players as they progress through club and school competition and ensure they have access to structured coaching, development opportunities and high-quality games environments designed to help them reach their full potential.

Conor O'Donoghue, Chairperson National Development CCC, said: "The Talent Academy provides clear alignment with the player pathway by supporting young players at that key adolescent stage. The games provide a higher standard of playing opportunity for the players which allows for further development"

This weekend sees the commencement of the football academy programme with 37 fixtures down for decision. They can be viewed and downloaded below.
