Meath SHC Final
Ratoath 4-16 Kiltale 3-19
Padraig O'Hanrahan's last gasp point ensured Ratoath earned a dramatic draw against Kiltale in a thrilling Meath SHC Final.
Fearghal McCabe had netted a goal for underdogs Kiltale in the closing stages to edge them in front, but Ratoath responded.
It was exciting from start to finish with three goals struck in the opening eight minutes.
Ross Ryan and Peter Durnin bagged goals for Kiltale either side of a Ratoath effort from Cian Rogers.
Bryan McMahon added a second goal for holders Ratoath, but Kiltale still went in 2-12 to 2-10 ahead at the break.
Gavin McGowan pounced for a third Ratoath goal as an action packed encounter continued. With Jack Regan sharp for Kiltale they remained very much in the reckoning.
Rogers clipped a goal for Ratoath with three minutes remaining, but Kiltale thundered back again courtesy of McCabe's major. O'Hanrahan, though, clipped his sixth point of the contest to force a replay. It will be worth monitoring.
