The Waterford defender received 2,446 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Limerick duo Cian Lynch (2251) and Shane O’Brien (1655)

Waterford’s Mark Fitzgerald did his best to bring the fight to Limerick in Saturday’s Munster SHC clash. The powerful wing-back scored two points from play and carried the ball to great effect.
Cian Lynch – Limerick
Limerick captain, Cian Lynch, was at his magical best in Saturday’s Munster SHC win over Waterford. He scored three points from play and his distribution was a joy to watch.
Shane O’Brien – Limerick
Shane ‘The Bull’ O’Brien produced another big Munster SHC performance for Limerick in their victory over Waterford. The powerful inside-forward won loads of ball and scored four fine points from play.
