Liscarroll win third successive All-Ireland Men's Open Inter-Club handball title

Last weekend marked a momentous occasion for Liscarroll HC from Cork as they claimed a third successive All-Ireland Men’s Open Inter-Club title with a win over Tyrone’s Breacach in the final at Croke Park.
The Liscarroll team of Daniel Relihan, Michael Hedigan, Shane Hedigan, Gearoid Healy and Colin Healy saw off the Tyrone men (Sean Kerr, Niall Kerr, Johnny Woods and Shane O'Neill) on an 85-60 scoreline.
In the first singles, Sean Kerr and Relihan shared a game apiece (15-10, 7-15), with Healy and Shane Hedigan defeating Woods and Niall Kerr 15-10, 15-12 and Michael Hedigan seeing off O’Neill 15-10, 15-6.
In the semi-final, Liscarroll defeated Kilfane (Kilkenny) on an identical 85-60 scoreline.
The Junior title went to Carrickmacross (Oran Kiernan, Conor O'Gorman, John Kiernan, Colm Kiernan and Ronan Kiernan) who got the better of St Mary’s from Wexford (Jamie Barnes, Mikey Berry, Paddy Haughton, Cian Kehoe and Matthew Hynes) 80-50.
The Junior B crown went to the Banner county as Tulla defeated Saval from Down. The Tulla line-up was Oisin Donnellan, Tony Leydon, Aaron Shanahan, Evan Corbett and Alan Leamy and they defeated Jack Turley, Callum Lennon, Fergal McConville, Richard McNally and Kevin McCarthy 76-57.
