Jason Forde voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week

Jason Forde has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The classy Tipperary forward received 4,143 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Cork’s Shane Barrett (3,841) and Waterford’s Shane Bennett (2,942).

Jason Forde – Tipperary

On his first start of the Allianz Hurling League campaign, Jason Forde showed his determination to remain a key member of the Tipp attack this year. He scored 3-10 in the their resounding victory over Offaly, 2-3 of which came from play.

Shane Barrett – Cork

Shane Barrett was the best player on the pitch in Cork’s entertaining victory over Galway. He put on a striking masterclass as he scored six points from a variety of distances and angles.

Shane Bennett – Waterford

Shane Benett produced a dynamic display from wing-back in Waterford’s impressive win over Limerick. He hoovered up a huge amount of ball, scored two points from play, and banged a penalty to the back of the Limerick net.
