Hurling Development Roadshows will take place at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Croke Park on September 1 and 8.
The events, which will feature keynote addresses from GAA President Jarlath Burns about the Association's Vision For The Future of Hurling, commence at 7pm.
GAA Head of Hurling William Maher will discuss the current landscape and strategic focus areas 2025-2030.
Performance metrics and participation, provincial hurling plan, and county specific hurling plans are other items on the agenda.
Throughout the summer several events were held affording coaches, officers, teachers, referees, and Games Development staff to reflect on what’s working, where the challenges lie, and what’s needed to take hurling forward.
A clear need for targeted support across different county contexts has been identified with a strong emphasis on schools as a growth driver.
There is also support for greater alignment across school, club, and inter-county activity, with a focus on how academy players are developed and retained.
Based on feedback, a hurling action plan will be structured around three groupings - traditional hurling counties, middle-tier hurling counties, and non-traditional hurling counties.
The immediate priority is to finalise and circulate a Draft National Hurling Action Plan shortly.
