'Have A Go' initiative a success in Antrim
Picture1
As part of Heritage Week, the Have A Go initiative provided two fantastic days of hurling and camogie at Crumlin Leisure Centre and Cliftonville Playing Fields in Antrim.
With more than 100 children taking part, the events were filled with fun, laughter and plenty of enthusiasm. Players had the opportunity to pick up a hurl, learn some new skills and experience the enjoyment of sport.
The coaches and clubs, Loch Mór, Shane Ó Neill’s Glenarm, All Saints Ballymena, Aldergrove, Ardoyne Kickhams, Naomh Éanna, Michael Davitts, St. Brigid’s Belfast deserve significant credit for giving their time and energy to make both days such a success. Their support and enthusiasm helped create a brilliant experience for everyone involved.
It was fantastic to see so many young children having a go, and hopefully some future stars of Antrim hurling and camogie will emerge.
