GAA Announces InPost as official delivery partner
InPost will roll out its parcel locker network across up to 1,000 GAA clubs throughout Ireland over the next 18 months, giving members and the wider public 24/7 access to convenient, secure parcel collection and returns.
The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) has today announced a new partnership with out-of-home delivery and parcel locker leader, InPost, who will become the GAA’s Official Delivery Partner in Ireland.
The partnership will see InPost roll out its parcel locker network across up to 1,000 GAA clubs throughout Ireland over the next 18 months, giving members and the wider public 24/7 access to convenient, secure parcel collection and returns. Clubs will host InPost lockers on their grounds, creating new revenue streams and increasing footfall at club facilities, while also supporting more sustainable delivery by reducing the number of home delivery journeys. As part of the partnership, InPost will also become a supporter of the GAA Nursery Programme, to support youth development at grassroots level.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening communities across Ireland. GAA clubs have long been the heartbeat of towns, villages and cities, serving not only as sporting organisations but as vital social hubs. By embedding InPost Lockers within club grounds, the partnership creates a new model of community-based delivery, bringing a practical everyday service closer to where people live, work and socialise.
GAA President Jarlath Burns said: “The GAA’s strength has always come from our communities and our grassroots volunteers. This partnership with InPost not only brings a valuable new service to members and local communities but also creates an important new support stream for clubs nationwide. Crucially, through our Nursery Programme, it will also invest directly in the next generation, helping young players begin their journey in Gaelic games.”
Michael Rouse, CEO International, InPost, said: “Ireland is a market we are serious about and this partnership reflects that. The GAA isn’t just a sporting organisation, it is woven into the fabric of communities across the country in a way that very few organisations can match. Embedding our lockers within that network means we are not building from scratch; we are building on something people already trust. That is a strong foundation and exactly the right way to grow. We want InPost to be a natural part of everyday life in Ireland and this partnership gives us the reach to make that happen."
The rollout will begin with an ambassador programme across a number strategically selected clubs, ahead of a full national expansion over the following months. InPost Lockers will also be installed at Croke Park ahead of the All-Ireland Quarter Finals, marking a high-profile activation at the home of Gaelic games.
