David Clifford voted GAA.ie Footballer of the Week

David Clifford has been voted GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

The Kerry star received 4,781 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Galway's Matthew Thompson (3,782) and Dublin's Paddy Small (2,787).

Once again, David Clifford supplied scores and inspiration for Kerry against Cavan. The gifted Fossa clubman finished with a 3-7 haul at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Matthew Thompson (Galway)

Galway eventually overcame a determined Down outfit at Páirc Esler with Matthew Thompson hugely impressive. The promising Salthill-Knocknacarra star scored five points and created plenty of other chances for his colleagues.

Paddy Small (Dublin)

Paddy Small was effective for Dublin in a hard earned win over Cork at Croke Park on Saturday evening. Small clipped important scores, finishing with four points for Dessie Farrell's team.
