Darragh McGurn voted GAA.ie Footballer of the Week

Darragh McGurn has been voted GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

The Fermanagh star received 3,962 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Roscommon's Diarmuid Murtagh (3,481) and Down's Odhran Murdock (3,286).

Darragh McGurn (Fermanagh)

Fermanagh were soundly beaten in the Ulster SFC by Armagh, but Darragh McGurn still demonstrated his considerable ability at Brewster Park. A remarkable display of finishing ensured McGurn concluded the contest with a 1-12 haul, including five two pointers.

Diarmuid Murtagh (Roscommon)

One of the most accomplished attackers in the country, Diarmuid Murtagh, demonstrated his class in Castlebar. The inspirational St Faithleach's forward scored 1-10 for Mark Dowd's outfit in a stirring Connacht SFC triumph over Mayo.

Odhran Murdock (Down)

In Letterkenny several Down players starred, but Odhran Murdock an influential figure throughout against Donegal. Murdock was in splendid form for Conor Laverty's team, contributing three points from play.
